All equipment from wellhead to crude export pipeline or tanker can be engineered and designed for both onshore and offshore installations. Unit operations may typically include slugcatchers, separators, heater treaters, heat exchangers and electrostatic coalescers for dehydration or desalting using both traditional and the latest ground-breaking techniques.

Natural gas processing consists of separating all of the various fluids from the natural gas, to produce 'pipeline quality' dry natural gas for export or on-site purposes. Dehydration, dewpoint control and acid gas removal are often required to ensure safe and reliable use of the product gas.

The management of water is rapidly becoming a significant issue to ensure protection of the environment and minimise the water demand at site. EPD's expertise encompasses both offshore and onshore water injection projects including water injection systems using seawater, aquifer water, river water and produced water treatment and re-injection.

Where there is a requirement to increase the throughput of a crude oil, gas or water treatment process, or to improve its performance, EPD can offer a full de-bottlenecking service.

EPD applies its process engineering expertise in analysing the data collected to determine the limitations of the installed equipment and to identify potential bottlenecks.
