- Process Selection, Design and Optimisation
EPD provides design services across all aspects of Crude Oil, Gas and Water Treatment facilities for onshore and offshore sites. All stages of a Field Development plan require detailed design and analysis to define the most appropriate Treatment system for the required objectives. Initial design, production debottlenecking and system upgrades are all undertaken.
- CFD and Process Modelling
The application of computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and other specialist software to fluid modelling can predict and optimise designs before detailed engineering is undertaken, as well as during operations to optimise flowrates and fluid behaviour based on actual observations. Flow Assurance and pipe flow simulation software provide valuable guidance on overcoming or avoiding costly production problems at an early stage.
- HAZOP and Environmental Services
System analysis for identification and elimination of hazards is essential to maintain a safe and efficient plant. A structured HAZOP review, with rigorously applied analytical methods, is essential if all possible conditions that might lead to a hazard situation are to be identified. Detailed Environmental Impact Assessments, investigations and reports will also provide a sound basis on which to obtain necessary regulatory permissions as well as mitigate the impact on the surrounding environment.
